This weather is miserable. We wanted to give everyone an update of what is happening at the arena through this severe cold snap.

We have moved the mama cows into the arena, and we are nursing a new coriente calf in the heated tool room. There are other cattle in the pens behind the arena with access inside. We are also battling frozen spigots even inside the arena. Roping club for this weekend has been moved to another weekend, and I am asking that the weeknight events for next week be canceled. We are still planning on the barrel race for February 20th, but that is subject to change depending on conditions next week.

This situation is fluid depending on the weather, but everybody’s consideration is greatly appreciated. Prayers for all those dealing with cattle and horses!!
