We have dedicated our lives to bicycling.
We both worked for Schwinn and Waterford Precision Cycles.
I started at the Paramount Factory during college, then as QA for the Greenville MS Plant, then as Specifications Manager in the Engineering Department in Chicago, then back to Manage the Paramount Factory in Waterford Wisconsin. Liz was at Paramount when I went back to Manage the Factory. When Schwinn went bankrupt, we were 2 of 6 people that helped Richard Schwinn start Waterford Precision Cycles. I was the only frame builder starting out, and Liz worked side by side with Richard in the office. Times were tough, hours were long, we ran a lean facility. Fast forward 30 years!
We went through the Greenville Plant closing, the Schwinn Bankruptcy closing, and now we witness the WPC Plant closing; Full Life Cycle. We are proud to be a part of it all; bicycles are good for people and good for the world. We are so happy Richard gets to enjoy a very hard earned retirement! Cheers to everyone at Waterford Precision Cycles.

After 30 years of building bikes in Wisconsin, Waterford Precision Cycles will shut down its operations at the end of next month...
