Peyton McPherson plays Center Back and has been playing soccer for 3 years! She started playing because she wanted to try something new, and she quickly found a love for the game and the people she gets to play with. What Peyton loves most about soccer is the people she shares the field with. This season, her goal is simple: to be better than she was last year. 💪⚽ Peyton is coming off an incredible season at Whiteville High School, where she earned Defensive Player of the Year and was selected to the All-Region Team! 🏆 Her favorite thing about this team is the people and the connections she gets to make along the way. Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 4:23. 🙏

⚽ Meet Samaya Lewis! ⚽

Samaya Lewis is a defender and is entering her 3rd year of playing soccer! Her mom signed her up when she was younger, and soccer quickly became a sport she really enjoyed. What Samaya loves most about soccer is the intensity of the game and getting to play alongside her friends. This season, her goal is to score lots of goals! ⚽ Her favorite thing about this team is how well they communicate with each other and connect as a group. 💙 Something you might not know about Samaya? Porter Richardson has been playing soccer for 2 years! She started playing because she thought trying something new would be fun, and she’s loved the experience ever since. What Porter enjoys most about soccer is making new friends through the game. Kendall Hilbourn plays Goalkeeper and Defender and has been playing soccer for 4 years! She first started playing to try something new and quickly discovered how much she enjoyed the sport. Olivia Heath is a new face on the soccer field, having started playing this past fall for Columbus County Rec! When asked why she decided to give soccer a try, Olivia said she wanted to play more sports and challenge herself in something new. She hasn’t found what position fits her best but is willing to play where she is needed. Her favorite part of soccer so far is Running! 🏃‍♀️This season, Olivia’s goal is simple: to get better and keep learning. Her favorite thing about being part of the team is getting to spend time with her friends and have fun together. Something you might not know about Olivia? Emma Miller is a Defender and has been playing soccer for 9 years! Her mom signed her up when she was little, and she quickly discovered how much she enjoyed the game. Emma’s favorite part of soccer is defending, being physical, and playing alongside her friends. This season, her goals are to become a better defender and maybe even become a “GOAT” goalie! 🧤⚽ Her favorite thing about this team is her friends—and the fact that they’re “lowkey pretty good!” 😎💙 Something you might not know about Emma? What she enjoys most about soccer is making memories with her friends. Scarlett plays Midfielder and has been playing soccer since she was 10 years old! She first decided to try soccer because she wanted to experience something new, and it also happened to be her dad’s main sport. Bailey Fowler plays Left Wing and Striker and has been playing soccer for 11 years! ⚽ She started playing because she had too much energy to play softball—and soccer quickly became the perfect fit! Bailey’s favorite part of the game is the feeling she gets when she scores, and this season, she’s focused on becoming even better and more confident with her feet. ⚽ Meet Alaia Powell! ⚽

Alaia Powell is a defender and has been playing soccer for 1 year! She was motivated to give soccer a try after encouragement from Coach Collin Ransom at Whiteville High School, and she quickly found a love for the game. What she enjoys most are the connections she makes throughout the season and the competitiveness of soccer. This season, Alaia’s goal is to gain as much knowledge and develop as many skills as possible to carry into the next school season, while also improving her conditioning. 💪⚽ Her favorite things about this team are her teammates and Coach! One of Alaia’s favorite reminders is: “Everything you’re going through is shaping you for something greater. Keep your faith, keep your heart strong, and remember that God is still working even when you can’t see it.” 🙏
