A great weekend of baseball. We are excited about where we are as an organization. It’s in the practices where you get better and the games are where you show it.
Our 10U boys coached by Marko Little showed up Saturday and turned some heads with an impressive performance. Going 2-0 and earning the #2 seed in the Gold bracket. They came up short Sunday but they are finally seeing the fruits of their labor. This group of boys will be something special to watch over the next couple of years.
11U coached by Trent Ford had a rough start on Saturday going 0-2. But the resiliency of these boys to never give up turned things around on Sunday. They went 2-0 and won the Silver Bracket Championship. MVP of first game went to Liam Ford for a brilliant pitching performance. MVP of the championship game was Cole Cartrette for his dominance at the plate, lock down defense at 1B, but most importantly his ability to get his team fired up and rally them back from a 7-2 deficit.
Last but certainly not least is our 13U Teal team. Coming into this season we were very grateful to provide the opportunity for two 13U teams. We never imagined we would have two Gold Bracket winning 13U teams this quickly. Congrats to Coach David Fowler and his group of boys. Going 1-1 on Saturday and ending up the #2 seed in Gold bracket. The boys came out hot hitting the ball on Sunday and took down two formidable opponents. MVP Jayden Fowler was a force to be reckoned with not just at the plate but on the mound as well. Really proud of all the boys for their outstanding play.
One word comes to mind when it comes to this organization. That word is FAMILY. The boys have bought into the “We Not Me” mentality. All of our coaches are kingdom focused and teaching their players that this is “bigger than baseball”. We thank God for the ability to play this game and to use this game as a platform to help grow young men for Gods Kingdom.
