I have a passion for working with hitters and helping them improve their game. My baseball background begins with my time at Lowell High School (Lowell, IN). I was a 3-time All-State selection at Lowell, and finished my prep career among the top 5 all-time in the state of Indiana for career batting average. As a 2-time All-Big Ten selection, I was then drafted by Toronto Blue Jays in the 29th roun
d in 2006. After an injury kept me from playing in the Blue Jays organization, I played 5 years of independent professional baseball, spending time with the Florence Freedom (Florence, KY),the Joliet Jackhammers (Joliet, IL), and the Windy City Thunderbolts (Crestwood, IL). During my professional career, I was named the 2007 Frontier League Rookie of the Year and 2009 Frontier League All-Star Game MVP. My career stats include a .285 batting average, 453 hits, 50 home runs, and 102 doubles. My coaching career began with my time as an assistant coach at Hanover Central High School (Cedar Lake, IN) both in 2008 and 2009. I then spent 2011 and 2012 as the hitting and outfield coach for Robert Morris University – Chicago. In 2011, the Eagles won a conference title, finished 2nd in the CCAC in team batting average and home runs, and 1st in RBI. In 2012, the Eagles once again finished 2nd in batting average and home runs and 2nd in RBI in their conference. I have given private instruction for 6 years. In 2012 and 2013, I was able to work along side former Major Leaguer John Cangelosi at the Bo Jackson Elite Sports Dome in Lockport, IL. I am currently the head coach of the Indiana Mustangs 15U team. If you are interested in lessons, please call me at 219.545.1364 or email me at [email protected]
