🎣🏆State Championship🏆🎣

Adisyn Russell and Canyon Heffley finished the THSBA Championship in 18th place out of 187 teams and 110 different high schools across Texas! This earned them a $1000 scholarship and gift cards! Their last high school tournament will be in June at the THSBA AOY tournament on Lake Tyler! Congratulations Adisyn and Canyon!

Saturday your WHS Bass Teams competed in the THSBA Regional Tournament at Possum Kingdom! All our teams weighed in fish! Adisyn Russell & Canyon Heffley will move on to the State Championship Tournament on Lake Texoma May 30-31!

Angler of the Year awards were awarded and for the 2nd straight year Adisyn Russell & Canyon Heffley & their Captain Don McFarlin was the North Texas AOY Champions.
The Whitesboro finished 2nd for the year in teams total out of 40 high school teams in the North Texas Division!

Fishing Costume Contest

The best fishing related costume will get a Lew’s / Strike King Gift Card. The most liked photo in the comments will get the prizes. Contest will open with a post 10/31/25 and will close 11/2/25. The most liked photo will get a $100 gift card; the second most liked photo will get a $50 gift card.

Well with the challenges of the weather changing the Lake Tawakoni tournament, Sunday was a good day for your WHS Bass Team at the THSBA Lake Tawakoni Tournament! 198 high school teams from 40 different north texas high schools competed, 4 of our WHS teams weighed in fish! WHS Team as whole took 3rd place out of the 40 high schools and took over 1st Place in Team of the Year standings!! We now take a break Next is stop #4 Cedar Creek on February 28th!

📍October 25, 2025, Tournaments are moving to October 26,2025

All three Saturday tournaments are moving to Sunday. All three Friday check ins are moving to Saturday. Everything just shifts one day. This is based on the incoming weather for this Friday through Saturday. These weather conditions could create an entire day of unsafe conditions.

📍If you can now fish – signup on the app by Thursday’s deadline.
📍Captain changes can be made on the app. By editing the angler’s registration.

Remember that THSBA only takes four events in AOY Points for advancement. The system will only add up to four events. Only fish four it will add those. Fish five it will drop the lowest one. Teams that cannot attend need to leave bands unpicked up. This way we know that the team is not attending or out on the lake.
