Planning a trip to Glacier National Park in 2026? Read this first.
Big changes are coming this summer - and a little planning will go a long way in making the most of your time in the park!! New for 2026:
• GNP Shuttle access along Going-to-the-Sun Road to Logan Pass will now require advanced reservations
• GNP Shuttle tickets will be released via Recreation.gov in two windows:
– 60 days in advance (starting May 2 at 8am MDT)
– Limited next-day tickets released nightly beginning June 30 at 7pm MDT
• No vehicle reservations required anywhere in the park this year
• Logan Pass parking is limited to 3 hours starting July 1 (weather permitting). So if you plan to complete the Highline or Hidden Lake Trails, you may want to secure your shuttle reservations.
• There is NO park-operated hiker/biker shuttle this spring

What does this mean for you?
Glacier is as breathtaking as ever, but navigating access, timing, and parking may be more complex.
