What a summer! What a dream team we had this summer! To give everyone a much needed rest and a much needed day to play, Glacier Cyclery will be closed Labor Day Monday. Thanks to allstar mechanic and great human Mark Petty for being such a good sport in letting us share his summer nap pics, and so glad he put our courtyard to good use on his lunch breaks!
Our holiday hours: Open today/Friday til 6pm, open Saturday 9-5, closed Sunday and Monday, and back in the business Tuesday at 9am.

Fellow mountain bike amigos, why not join us for this Thursday's Legacy Partners - The Whitefish Trail group ride? We can't think of any good reasons you won't be there, because this week we are doing Reservoir Trail and it is always a great ride. Meet here at the shop at 5:45pm in the courtyard and then we will mosey our way over on the bike path to the trailhead. If it's easier for you to park at the trailhead, feel free to park there and meet up with us there. For more info on the route, just call 406-862-6446.
*We had to dust off this group ride photo and use it because it features so many past Glacier Cyclery staffers who we miss, and it shows how much fun group rides can be. It just makes us smile and we hope it makes you smile too.

AQI is a bit too high plus the air smells and tastes like smoke, so tonight's ride is canceled. Biking is good for you, except when you are breathing in lots of fire particulate. To all of the wildland firefighters and support crews out there battling fires across the West, thank you for your service and sacrifice!

Hello mountain bike lovers and fans of trail shenanigans! This month's Whitefish Legacy Partners - The Whitefish Trail group ride is Thursday Aug 6 6pm on the Reservoir Trail! We will be riding up the 800 dirt road to access the singletrack for a fun descent. Meet meet at Glacier Cyclery at 5:45 in the courtyard and we will mosey our way over on the bike path to the trailhead. Obviously, it's been quite smokey in our valley the last few days so keep that in mind as you make your decision about the ride this week. This is a no drop ride; we roll as one big fun group! And they're off! The grand depart left the Glacier Cyclery courtyard at 6am this morning, and we've got 4 of our "family" members riding it. Go Isaac, Raser, Gabe and Tiptin! So proud of these guys and all of the fun miles they've put into their training leading up to this long adventure day. Shout out to Dane the Man and his sweet Jones bike he let us build up for fun little rides like this. And many thanks to Brad and Emily for organizing another Cosley Pancake Ride and adding local flavor to our fun little local bike community. Events like this are what builds strong community and makes days at the bike shop so rewarding. And there's bacon.

Kick off your 4th of July holiday weekend with a no-drop group ride on the Swift Creek section of Whitefish Legacy Partners - The Whitefish Trail on Thursday July 2 at 6pm. Led by Glacier Cyclery staff members, we'll ride Swift Creek to Smith Lake and back. This is such a beautiful fun section of the trail network - lots of water and old growth forest. Meet at Swift Creek Trailhead (320 Delray Rd, WF) by 5:45 so we can start pedaling at 6. Helmets required; water, snacks, bug spray, and bear spray recommended. Get ready to test your dream bike! The Pivot Cycles demo truck is coming to town June 28 with all of their bike models for a free one-day only Demo Day. Reserve your bike ahead of time to make sure you get the size and model you want! There's a 9am and a noon reservation slot.

The next Glacier Cyclery/Whitefish Legacy Partners - The Whitefish Trail ride is this Thursday, June 6 with a ride theme "Pump pedals, not gas." We'll be meeting here at the store and riding from here to the Lion Mountain trailhead to explore trails from there. No reason to drive to the trailhead when you have a bike! With the recent amount of rain we've seen and still more in the forecast, this ride will be weather and trail condition permitting. If it is pouring/storming OR if the trails are too muddy with potential for trail damage, we will postpone. Stay tuned for updates, or give us a call at Glacier Cyclery for more info.

Glacier Cyclery/Whitefish Legacy Partners - The Whitefish Trail group rides kick off tonight with a mellow meander from Beaver Lakes Trailhead at 6pm. Mileage/elevation TBD - we'll let the group and the weather decide. Plus it's Hit the Trail Challenge month so for those of you clocking your miles, you're supporting the trails just by showing up.
