Meet Ms. Cynthia, one of our toddler educators at Gan Ami Early Childhood Education in Whitefish Bay.

This month, our toddlers are exploring Things That Go while building language and social skills through name-to-object recognition. Connecting words to familiar objects helps children grow their vocabulary, communication skills, and confidence.

Try it at home: Name objects your child points to or plays with, and encourage simple back-and-forth conversations throughout the day.

Join Misa for a calming evening designed to help you unwind and recharge before the new week. The session begins with gentle Yin yoga poses that use props to support deep stretching and relaxation of the joints and connective tissues. You’ll then settle into a restful savasana and be guided through Yoga Nidra, a meditation practice featuring body awareness, breathwork, and visualization. Soft sound instruments enhance the experience, leaving you relaxed and refreshed for the evening ahead.

This week's celebrates The Annual – our annual celebration of the people and partnerships who bring our mission to life.

Each year, The Annual brings our community together to look back on the impact of the past year while also recognizing what continues to make our JCC feel like home for so many.

Guided by The Power of Belonging, this year's gathering highlighted the ways our community shows up for one another every day – through shared experiences, meaningful relationships, and a collective commitment to something bigger than ourselves.

We celebrated 5 years of the Bonim Farms workforce readiness program for adults with disabilities alongside many of our Farm Fellows; we installed the 2026-27 Board of Directors and our new chair of the board, Lori Craig; and we recognized the individuals whose leadership, service, and generosity strengthen our community:

• Jody & David Margolis - Joe E. Smith Distinguished Volunteer Award
• Wisconsin Jewish Security Network - Yachad Community Partner Award
• Alexis Saber - Lizzie Kander Heart of Community Scholarship
• Joseph Arnstein - Roman Shkylar Outstanding Jewish Tennis Player Scholarship
• JCC Family of Staff - Recognized those celebrating milestone years of service

The evening served as a reminder that what we build together is made possible by connection, care, and a shared sense of belonging.
