Before You Enroll... Please Read ❤️
Our studio isn't the right fit for every child, and that's okay!
Many children love to dance around the living room, but dance class is about so much more than dancing. It's about learning respect, self-discipline, teamwork, perseverance, listening, and working hard even when something is difficult.
At Hwy 9 Dance Studio, I run structured classrooms. I have rules, expectations, and boundaries because I truly believe children thrive when they know what is expected of them. I will encourage them, cheer them on, celebrate their successes, and help them through their struggles, but I will also correct them when needed.
That's part of teaching.
If your child is used to always getting their way or if you're looking for a class where there are few expectations or rules, our studio may not be the best fit.
Our Dance Studio is a 9 month commitment. There will be days when your child is tired, frustrated, or doesn't feel like coming. That's normal. Learning to follow through on commitments is one of the greatest life lessons dance can teach. Impeccable attendance is CRUCIAL in dance and is something we take very seriously.
I'm not here to simply entertain children for 45 minutes each week. I'm here to help shape confident, respectful, resilient young people while teaching them the art of dance in a safe, encouraging, and Christ-centered environment. This is also the only way we can put on a fantastic end of season recital each year!
The families who stay with us year after year understand that the lessons learned in the studio reach far beyond the stage.
If that sounds like the environment you want for your child, we would love to welcome you to our dance family. ❤️
