It was a BIG week for BMS Cheer! 💙📣

Starting off with the big game 🏈
Then, both Coach Dani and Coach Castillo were honored by two amazing students during Teacher Appreciation Night—such a special reminder of why we do what we do! 🥹💐

Our cheerleaders continued spreading the love by decorating for our incredible BMS volleyball teams before ending the week with an important mental health check-in. The girls took time to talk with one another about managing stress, supporting their teammates, and pouring love and encouragement into each other. 💚

Cheer is so much more than what happens on the sidelines. It’s about school spirit, service, leadership, and creating a team where every girl feels supported and loved. What a beautiful week for BMS Cheer! 🐻✨

First game day was one for the books! 🏈🐻💙

Both our 8th Grade A and B teams brought home the DUBS, and our girls did an amazing job during their halftime performance! 📣✨

Congratulations to our Cheerleaders of the Week: Myvi, Lily, and Janiyah! We are so proud of your hard work and positive attitudes!

We also had a special Pin It Forward moment! Keelyn received the award at summer camp, and with her extra pin, she chose to recognize Avery for being kind, being a great teammate and friend, and always being someone the team can count on. 💙

A huge shoutout to our amazing parents who decorated the girls’ locker room and made sure they were hyped and game-day ready!

The amazing Mrs. Winn came to spend time with our BMS Cheer Team for a special workshop focused on team bonding, leadership, and what it means to leave a positive impact on others. 💙🐻

Mrs. Winn is a former director of the BHS Honeycombs, where she built an incredible legacy before retiring. Fun fact: she was also Coach Dani’s drill team instructor! 🥹

Having her return to WSISD and pour her wisdom, encouragement, and positivity into our team was such a full-circle moment and an absolute joy. We are so thankful for the time she spent investing in our girls and reminding them that true leadership is about the legacy you leave behind. 💙✨
