You don’t need a gym session to keep your body working for you - just intentional, low-intensity movement.

Examples of active recovery:

• Light cardio:
– Walk in the park or around your neighborhood
– Easy bike ride
– Leisurely walk while doing errands
– Playing outside with kids or pets

• Mobility & reaching:
– Decorating the Christmas tree or the house
– Hanging lights or ornaments
– Putting decorations on higher shelves
– Cleaning windows or organizing cabinets

• Core & stability:
– Carrying groceries
– Light housework (vacuuming, mopping)
– Standing tasks that challenge balance

• Stretching & relaxation:
– Gentle floor stretching
– Yoga or mobility flow
– Long stretches while watching TV

These movements improve circulation, reduce muscle stiffness, and help your body recover - without overloading it.
