Janet Lefkowitz of HERO Inc. has spent decades advocating and creating free activities and tennis programs for veterans as well as people with disabilities. She is a legend, an icon and an amazing person. We are all grateful for Janet!

Congratulations to HERO New York who was recently honored with the national Adaptive Tennis Award from United States Tennis Association - USTA (Official)!

Each year, advocates for the sport of tennis are honored with national awards at the 2026 USTA Annual Meeting and Conference in Orlando, and this year organizers based in the section brought home two awards! They were celebrated throughout the event for their dedication and contributions to growing the sport, locally and nationwide.
