More post-season accolades, this time for Boden Bishop from the Baseball team.

First, Bo earned 1st Team All-State honors from the Michigan High School Baseball Coaches Association. Bo, who will be continuing his baseball career at Western Michigan University, made the team as an outfielder.

Second, earlier this week, Bo participated in the MHSBCA East-West All-Star game played at Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers.

After the completion of the first year of MHSAA competition, the Boys Volleyball program had the special honor of having two of its players earn All-State recognition from the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association.

Zach Dobrin, one of 5 finalists for the Mr. Volleyball Award, was named to the 1st Team, culminating a stellar career while helping establish the Boys Volleyball program at Lakeland.

Jacob Dobrin, who just completed his sophomore year, earned 3rd Team All-State honors. He, and his returning teammates, will have the opportunity to continue Lakeland's success in the recently-recognized sport.

Congratulations to Zach and Jacob on their recognition. Go Eagles!

The Girls Varsity Soccer team had an outstanding season, and the LVC honors recognize that.

The Lakeland Eagles posted a 8-2-2 conference record in the LVC in the 2026 season finishing 2nd place. Although the team will lose 3 seniors to graduation, the bulk of the roster returns next year determined to once again compete for the top spot in the LVC with the addition of new conference teams.

These LVC accomplishments showcase Lakeland’s impressive depth in goals, assists, and shutouts. 4 players were also recognized with All-District honors from the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association — and they all return to Lakeland in 2027. Go Eagles! 🦅

With summer settling in soon, one of the things we'll try to do is share some news about former Lakeland athletes who continued to do notable things after they graduated.

Lakeland Baseball Class of 2022 Update

Three Lakeland Baseball Alumni (Class of 2022) are having a great deal of success on the collegiate diamond this season.

Tate Farquhar started his career at Michigan State University where he lettered and helped lead his team to a Big Ten Tournament berth. Tate then transferred to Troy University in Alabama which recently qualified for the NCAA D1 College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. Tate is the first alumni in the history of Lakeland High School to be on a team playing in the prestigious event.

Caden Duryea recently completed a decorated career at Northwood University. Caden was a four year starter and two year captain at Northwood helping lead his team to four championships and the NCAA DII World Series in 2025. Caden earned first team all league (GMAC) honors his senior year and left his place in the history books as he finished in the top 8 of career leaders in every offensive category.

Nolan Hull also completed an outstanding career at the University of Northwestern Ohio. Nolan was a three year starter and UNOH, helping his team win multiple championships and leading his team to a berth in the NAIA National Championship Tournament. Nolan earned second team (WHAC) all league honors his senior year and finished in the top 10 of many career offensive categories including being the all time hit by pitch leader in school history.
