It was a full day at the courts as we pushed closer to the finish line.

Luke Coultas and Casey Nell tackled painting, while Daniel Farris and Cody Malin got the north lights powered up. Even a few young hoopers paused their game to help level dirt.

This project has truly been built by the community, and it’s been awesome to watch it come to life. 🏀✨

There’s a quote from Alex Haley that feels especially fitting right now: “Find the good and praise it.”

And truly, in our community, the good is everywhere.

Our basketball court has been full of life this spring! It’s a beautiful reminder of what this space was meant to be, and we are so thankful for the support that brought it to life.

Planning discussions are underway with James Price of Price’s Country Gardens for upcoming landscaping, and resident Alex Kennel has stepped in to lead the painting and stenciling of the court.

It’s incredible what can happen when people show up, pitch in, and believe in something together. 💪 🇺🇸

The White Hall Park Board is thrilled to announce that we have received a $500 grant for the White Hall Community Garden, located at the corner of Carson and Carlinville Street, to add beautiful artistic signage.

This project is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency and local funds from the Two Rivers Arts Council.

We are so excited to bring bright new works of art to White Hall and add an extra special touch to an already incredible community project.

A huge thanks to Daniel Farris who is helping us install our light poles this weekend! 💡

White Hall resident Patrick Donovan has been leading the initiative to create walking and mountain biking trails at Custer Park, and tonight the White Hall Park Board was thrilled to raise $636 in support of this effort.

These funds will go directly toward purchasing lumber for bridges, signage, and other materials needed as the trail continues to take shape.

With today’s warm weather, it was especially encouraging to see youth out enjoying the basketball and pickleball courts, and we’re ecstatic to soon add another outdoor activity for kids and families to enjoy in our community. This project is all about creating spaces that invite people outside, get them moving, and bring our community together. 🌳🚲

Special thanks to the Roodhouse Roundhouse for allowing us to utilize their space for tonight’s Show Me The Money event, and to Donna Wright, who graciously facilitates the game!
