On May 26th, White Cloud Elementary held its 2nd Annual 4th Grade Quiz Bowl Championship. Teams of 6 representing Mrs. Peabody’s Patriots, Mr. Brown’s Bearcats and Mrs. Fritz’s Firestorm took part in a battle of the brains, answering questions on a variety of academic subjects.
Mr. Brown’s Bearcats took a commanding lead early and held it throughout the match, led by the day’s top scorer, John Fox. In 2nd place was Mrs. Fritz’s Firestorm, led by the 2nd leading scorer, Karsyn Gossett. Rounding out the field was last year’s champs, Mrs. Peabody’s Patriots.
Thanks go out the 4th grade team for their assistance, Mr. Watson and Mrs. Dakin for sharing judge and moderating duties, Mr. Jacobs for scorekeeping and Miss Sandra and the crew for facilities management. Thanks also to Coach Smith for the use of the quiz bowl equipment. Mr. Robinson is the best ever for making the whole event possible!
