Hey everyone,
Here are a few important points for everyone racing with us. If you have ever been a Comp Director at an autocross event, you know how difficult it is organizing run and work groups, especially when you only have 15 minutes between the end of registration and the drivers meeting. Please take a moment to read through these so there is no confusion going forward and help make our Comp Directors jobs easier!
1. Class Changes & Run Groups
At each event, we continue to have multiple people switching classes or cars without having the correct class and car number reflected on their registration sheet. This has become increasingly frequent and needs to be addressed.
You are responsible for verifying your class and car number during registration and tech. If anything is incorrect, or if you have switched cars, you need to let us know at that time.
Going forward, notifying the Competition Director right before the drivers meeting—or during the drivers meeting—will no longer be accepted.
If your car number and class are not correct by the end of registration on Saturday and Sunday, you will forfeit your points and times for that day’s event.
2. Run & Work Groups
At every event, we have multiple people asking to be placed in a specific run group because they cannot arrive on time or need to leave early.
If you are attending the event, you are expected to be available for both your run group and your assigned work group. Run groups are determined by the Competition Directors and will not be changed simply for individual convenience.
If a genuine emergency comes up, we will evaluate the situation on a case-by-case basis. However, scheduling conflicts such as “I have something I need to be at at 11 AM” do not qualify as an emergency. If you have a true emergency, you more than likely won’t be at the event because of it.
We understand that things come up, but we need everyone to do their part to keep the events running smoothly and fairly for everyone.
Thanks for your cooperation.
