The following text was copied from the original post. We were honored to take part in customizing this bike for a military vet.
We finally get to show our latest Combat Hero Bike Build That Thunderstruck Custom Bikes just finished and was presented. First of all we were fortunate to meet one of the nicest most humble men we have ever met Marine Cpl Tony Mullis. While serving a second deployment in Afghanistan 2011 a bomb explosion critically injured Tony and he lost both of his legs. He had been trying for two years to find a shop that would build a bike to fit his needs, but everyone they reached out to didn't want to attempt the bike because of his injuries. They then contacted Combat Hero Bike Build who stepped up and said we can make that happen we know people!. John Barker flew Tony in and we went over some details, what his needs were and what style of bike he liked. After working out the details we were good to go! Tony had just a couple specific things he would like more understated not blingy and looks like more of a race bike style...my kind of bike! The other thing he said was when he was in Afghanistan he would look up at the night sky which took him away from his currant situation he choked up even telling us the story. Special thanks to Combat Hero for trusting in us to do the very first bike around ten years ago and we have been doing them every since. They now have reached out to other builders around the country who have stepped up as well so more bikes can be built. Thank you Jason Titus from Sucker Punch for once again bringing a vision to life on the paint. Thank you Clint Gridley for the great job on the Cerakote coatings. Thank you everyone else who helped in any way we appreciate it!
