Our facility will reopen at noon today, June 10. Trails will remain open to the public. Please be aware of fallen trees on our trails as we continue to clean areas affected by the storm. Due to the outage, the playstream will be closed for maintenance.

Storm-related power outages are currently affecting Tamarack Nature Center. The facility will remain closed today, June 10 until it is safe to reopen. Trails will remain open to visitors. A fallen tree impacting Discovery Hollow is being addressed, and crew is actively working to clear the area.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as staff assess conditions and work to restore normal operations. Please watch for updates before visiting:

Due to a power outage, the Plato Building, Ramsey County Library - Shoreview, Tamarack Nature Center, Charles M. Schulz Highland Arena and Shoreview Arena are closed. Some county services are currently impacted.

Where movement, nature, and friendship come together.

Wild Roots is a small-group outdoor play camp designed for kids ages 4–7 who may benefit from extra support with:
✨ coordination
✨ balance
✨ sensory processing
✨ social play
✨ confidence &problem-solving

Led by myself, Anne Voss, pediatric physical therapist and owner of Steady Strides Pediatric Physical Therapy, and pediatric OT Megan Gray, OTR/L , this camp blends therapeutic support with all the magic of childhood adventure — hiking trails, climbing logs, exploring nature, movement games, sensory play, teamwork, and new friendships.

Our goal? To help kids build strong bodies, strong minds, and confidence through play.
