Bee Meadow Pool

Bee Meadow Pool Resident and Non-Resident Memberships available. Guests permitted in with members only. The pool is located on the 89 acre Bee Meadow Park site.

The Bee Meadow Pool, owned by the Township of Hanover and operated by the Board of Recreation Commissioners, opened in 1964. It was built and is run entirely on funds generated from membership fees and other operating revenues. The Main Swimming Pool contains a diving board, two slides, a rock climbing wall, and a shallow area which give the pool its Z-shaped configuration. The entire pool is surr

ounded by a concrete deck, which in turn is surrounded by lawn and professional landscaping. A small tot pool is also located on the grounds. The bathhouse provides hot showers and restrooms. A snack bar is also available to our members. The pool's professional staff is headed by a veteran manager and includes well trained and certified lifeguards. The pool opens on Friday, May 28, 2021 for our Family Swim Night Season Kickoff from 5pm - 8pm. Then, the pool opens weekends and holidays beginning on Saturday, May 29, 2021, and will open daily starting Friday, June 25, 2021. The season ends on Monday, September 6, 2021. Pool membership is open to Hanover Township residents and non-residents.

We are officially 11 days away from opening day! Over the past couple of weeks, the Bee Meadow Pool splash pad has undergone a massive transformation! Crews have installed our above-ground water features and finalized the internal plumbing. This week, over 40 ground jets, including fan jets, crown jets, and fountain jets, will be set in concrete now that their plumbing and connections are complete.

​Beyond the pad, the site is coming together quickly! The perimeter fencing and baby pool sail shade are in place, and we’ve completed grass seeding to restore the landscape. Over the next few days, work continues on the remaining baby pool elements, entrance gates, and the specialized cargo net fencing that safely divides the 6 & Under section from the main splash pad area. Finishing touches are also underway, as the baby pool will be painted and the new benches will be installed around the splash pad to finalize the space.

​The final major milestone begins this week as a lead technician from VakPak, the company that engineered our mechanical systems, flies in to commission our system launch. This involves the startup and calibration of the recirculation systems, feature pumps, manifolds, and disinfection systems, including the critical electrical interlocks that ensure everything communicates and operates safely. This work spans our mechanical room, outdoor cabinets, and rain diverter vaults.

​To prepare for opening day, our management team, Eddie and Amanda, will be undergoing hands-on training with this lead technician to learn the ins and outs of these new systems. We are officially in the home stretch, with work continuing around the clock to make sure everything is fully tested and ready for action! We’ve hit some big milestones at the Bee Meadow Pool Splash Pad over the past two weeks! The new site lighting is officially in place, and seeing the lamps lit up at night was a great preview of the setting for our evening events, like Movie Nights. Crews have also poured the new concrete pathways at the entrances and are continuing the prep work on the surrounding landscape for grass seed.

​A massive amount of plumbing has been completed recently to connect our reservoir and pumps, and electrical work is ongoing in the mechanical room and cabinets to power all five systems of the splash pad. On the pad itself, the water features have been laid out in their final spots, and work is moving along on our third and final manifold that will supply water to the larger features, including the tumble buckets and our giant dumping bucket!

​The project will now move into finalizing the remaining connections, installing the water features into their vertical positions, and adding the perimeter fencing and railings. We are officially in the home stretch and can’t wait to see these features in action soon! It’s going to be a great summer at Bee Meadow Pool! 😎

Progress is moving along fast on our Splash Pad at Bee Meadow Pool! The major concrete pours are now finished, and the new stairs leading up to our "6 & Under" section are now set. Electrical work also continues in the mechanical rooms to accommodate our new pumps and systems. This past week, piping was tied into the manifold that acts as the hub for our ground jets. Work on the remaining two manifolds for the larger features and baby pool elements will be starting soon.

​The next phase includes installing the water features, as well as the safety railings and fencing around the splash pad as we head toward the finish line! We're officially 40 days away from the opening of Bee Meadow Pool and the Grand Opening of our new Splash Pad! 😎

We’ve made a lot of progress on our new splash pad over the past couple of weeks! The water feature piping, rebar, and concrete are officially finished in one section of the main pad. Construction continues this week on the feature piping for the 6 & under section and the rest of the main splash pad area. We're officially 54 days until our grand opening! Can't wait! 😎

Our new Splash Pad and Baby Pool will officially debut at Bee Meadow Pool this Memorial Day Weekend! We have received exciting confirmation from our construction team that both new areas will be fully operational and ready for our Grand Opening on the Friday evening of the holiday weekend.

Following a winter of anticipation, crews are now in the final stretch of this major renovation. The expansion includes a dedicated baby pool with its own splash pad for children ages 6 and under, plus an expansive splash pad area designed for all ages and abilities. All areas are fully ADA accessible. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to see the 60+ new water features, from the large dumping bucket and tumble buckets to interactive water shooters and ground jets! Get ready for our biggest and best summer yet!

Happy New Year from the Bee Meadow Pool! Only 138 days until opening day for the 2026 season! Even during these fall & winter months, work has continued to move forward on our massive $1.5 million Splash Pad & Baby Pool project. We wanted to share a "behind the scenes" look at the progress being made on-site. This project is a major addition to our pool complex, and it’s exciting to see how much has been accomplished so far!

Since construction resumed in the fall, contractors have been working to install the "heart" of the splash pad, which includes the specialized mechanical and electrical systems that will power all of the new water features. The brand-new baby pool structure is officially in place, complete with its own dedicated water lines and sail-shade posts, and the bulk of the underground drainage work is now in. We’ve even started pouring the new concrete patio and leveling the site for the final rebar and intricate piping that will soon feed our 60+ water features! It’s been a busy few months, and we look forward to watching the final details, including our tumble buckets, geysers, and water cannons, take shape as we head toward the spring!
