Today we welcomed another class of black belts. Hopefully I’ll get around to posting highlights of todays awesome test. But for now, get a tissue and read this card from one of our youngest black belts.

On those days I feel frustrated or burned out or unsure of the value I contribute (because those days inevitably come) I’ll take this out and be reminded of the amazing feeling I had reading these words and looking into the confident, proud, sweet face of this student who wears my name on her belt and who has a piece of my heart always.
