I feel not many can guess the age of this doe on the right. How old do you think she is? Photo taken today in Eastern Texas Panhandle. To be honest, I probably would miss this too! Low fence and free range. I do happen to know exactly how old this doe is 😳

The “Dark Continent” didn’t disappoint. ESA Hunting Safaris treated us like kings once again. Our T Fork rifles in 6.5 PRC, held up to the challenge with harvests upto 785 yards when necessary! We’re starting to book our 2026 Long Range Clinics. We have dates starting in early May. We start on Fridays around 4:00 and run through Sunday mornings around 11:00. 2 nights lodging and meals are included. We have private group rates available as well. Not every projectile finds it’s mark. Buck fever is real. Special thanks to my cowdog “Red” that has helped with several harvest recoveries already this season. Within 5 minutes, she had already found this nice buck! She’s earned a couple extra strips of bacon! Thanks Red!

Game Wardens with Texas Parks and Wildlife arrested Ethan McNeely, a 39 year old Oregon transplant, yesterday after discovering him crouched in the woods below the dam at Lake Tawakoni attempting to hunt squirrels with nothing but his bare hands and teeth.

McNeely, who insists he’s “a primal predator, not a sportsman,” argued with officers that his “God-given claws and fangs” exempt him from needing a hunting license. “If I catch it with my molars, that’s between me and Mother Nature,” he reportedly told wardens while spitting out a mouthful of bark.

Authorities were not convinced. TPWD officials say that while McNeely’s hunting technique is unique, state law doesn’t make exceptions for “wannabe cavemen.” He was booked on charges of hunting without a license and disorderly conduct after growling at the officers.

McNeely maintains he’s being persecuted. “They can cage me,” he said, “but they’ll never cage my inner wolf!”

South Africa never ceases to amaze me. The creatures are all so unique in every way. To harvest a honey badger and a civet cat within 10 minutes and without bait, is extremely rare. I didn’t let the opportunity pass me by!

When you land in South Africa and see this, you know everything is going to be great! Too bad my luggage didn’t make it! Luckily we had split ammo into different luggage just in case!

Example of what our rifles are capable of. 4 guys in 8 days with ESA Hunting Safaris. Most were harvested in the big open terrain from 350-750 yds. 6.5 PRC’s with a 6 Creed for some springbok. We’re giving away a few Safaris with ESA Hunting Safaris this year with the purchase of a new T-Fork Precision rifle! We’re booking our LR clinics now utilizing our climate controlled training facility!
