Cup entrants!

 All final confirmation emails with armband numbers have gone out at this time. If you have not received yours, please double check your spam folder, and email [email protected] immediately if you don’t have it.

Additionally, there was an email that went out this morning with information regarding the venue, benching area, parking, etc.  It’s been brought to our attention that not everyone received this email. We are diligently working on resolving this. Please don’t worry, we will ensure that everyone has all the information they need.

Important info for our Cup entrants!

Dear GADS Exhibitors!

We are so to welcome you to Cantigny Park for a wonderful Labor Day weekend!

A few friendly reminders about parking and our show site:

Cantigny Park is completely in charge of parking. Their normal rate is $16/day. They have graciously allowed us to sell parking to our exhibitors so that you don't have to pay that rate.
In order to take advantage of our rate of $10/day, you must purchase your parking online in advance.

You can either buy general parking passes for 1, 2, or 3 days, or a reserved parking spot for $60 for the weekend. Both types can be purchased online here: https://greatamericandogshow.com/exhibitors/fall/

PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU DO NOT PREPAY FOR A PARKING PASS, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY CANTIGNY PARK'S DAILY RATE OF $16. This is published in the premium list and out of our control.

Once you prepay your parking pass, Ticket Spice will email you a QR code. Please bring this to present to the Cantigny Park gate staff. Let them know you are a show exhibitor and that you have a prepaid pass.

For general parking: Once your QR code has been scanned, the Cantigny staff should give you a paper parking pass (make sure it matches the number of days you are needing parking). This pass will get you in/out quickly for the remainder of the show.

For reserved parking: The Cantigny staff will scan your QR code, but they will NOT give you a paper pass. Upon arrival, follow our signs to reserved parking and find your spot. Then you should ask a club member at our tent for a paper pass. We will be able to give those out Thursday during set up and every day of the show.

IMPORTANT: Do not, under any circumstances park in a reserved sport that is not yours. People have paid for their chosen spots and any violations may result in a bench hearing.

Handicapped parking is available only for vehicles displaying a proper handicapped tag.

Finally, please remember this is a self-cleaning show. Please be respectful of these beautiful grounds. Dogs are not permitted inside Cantigny buildings (with the exception of dogs attending the Cardiac clinic on Saturday.

☀️ Forecast says: You should enter the Midwest Obedience and/or Rally Cup!

We know outdoor trialing is a rare sight in our area these days, and weather concerns have made some potential exhibitors cautious, so we’re keeping entries open until 9/2 to let this beautiful preliminary forecast firm up.

Why enter one or both of the Cups?

🐾 Low stakes! As an unofficial event, this isn’t for any legs or points, which means low pressure for you and your dog.

🐾 Show the public the value of a well trained dog! Remember when you could find an obedience ring at nearly every dog show? We sure do, and that’s why we wanted to show spectators of all ages our amazing sports. Who knows? Maybe you’ll inspire a future NOC or RNC winner.

🐾 Did we mention the prizes? From breeds to groups to special teams, we have an array of goodie bags, prize packages, cash prizes and beautiful rosettes up for grabs. The total value of all prizes is approximately $1500 thanks to our many generous sponsors!

🐾 Stay and play after the Cups! There’s so much to do at the Great American Dog Show, from shopping, to seeing if your dog has what it takes to do FastCAT, to grabbing a snack at a food truck, and forget all the gorgeous photo opportunities at beautiful Cantigny Park, which is normally not open to dogs. Is your dog multi talented? You could even join in some of our other sport demonstrations throughout the weekend.

📣 Important Obedience Cup announcement! 📣

We’ve listened to your feedback and we entirely understand the potential concern for an outdoor event, on an unfamiliar field.

Our ring space is in a different area than last year, it’s very level, but we are now also allowing all obedience cup entrants to jump at preferred height if they so choose. We want everyone to feel safe and confident.

We also understand that weather is a concern, therefore we will not close entries until Wednesday, September 2nd, although we cannot guarantee the events will not fill before then, so if you want a low-risk shot at some amazing prizes, entry links are in the pinned post!
