Plug Uglies: TNB Over 50 Baseball League Est. 2015. Charter members of the TNB+50 baseball league of Western Massachusetts. 3 time league champions.

Founded in 2015 as one of the three inaugural teams of the TNB over 50 baseball league of Western Massachusetts, the Plug Uglies are 2-time league champions and have played in the championship game 7 times. Founding member and manager Eric "Noodles" Bennett built the Uglies from the ground up and led the team to its first league title in 2016. He handed the reigns to Chris "Chaka" Scanlon for the

2020 season, and in that pandemic-shortened season, the Plugs earned another title. The team currently has 14 members (10 from the original 2015 team) and TNB+50 has expanded to six teams.

Sure, it woulda been better if we were playing in the finals. But being in the booth was a pretty good consolation prize for M-Olkin, Noodles, & Chaka. Mike did a great job with the scoreboard (even kept the pitch counts!), Chaka did walk up music, TNB trivia and the “Which Whitehead?” game show, and Noodles killed it with between innings ads like TNB Just For Men, Kenny Hartwright surgical wraps, TNB Blue Chew, TNB fantasy camp, and Pesci’s Umpiring School. Bill, Pres, and Jeff W were all there to represent. It was fun!

TNB Playoff baseball continues tomorrow night @ Mackenzie Stadium, 6:00 pm first pitch. The Isotopes and Grays vie for a spot in the championship game against the defending champion Phillies.
