🏨🌊 YOUR BIKE GETAWAY HAS A DESTINATION: CHAUTAUQUA! 🌊🚴‍♂️

Imagine waking up in a historic lakeside hotel, walking outside to beautiful Chautauqua Lake, spending the day exploring scenic roads and trails by bike — and then ending the day with friends on a porch overlooking the water.

That's Chautauqua 2026.

Join us September 10–13 as we return to one of our favorite destinations for a weekend of cycling, scenery, history, and good company.

🏨 STAY RIGHT IN THE HEART OF IT

We have a special room block at the historic Atheneum Hotel, located lakeside on the grounds of the Chautauqua Institution. Our room block runs Thursday, September 10 through Sunday, September 13.

🌅 STEP OUTSIDE YOUR DOOR

The Chautauqua Institution itself offers beautiful walks, shopping, crafts, food, historic sites and plenty to explore.

And we'll be expanding our cycling horizons this year with new scenic routes to the east and south, reaching toward the Allegheny River and South Valley State Forest.

Friday starts with a Presque Isle trail ride and lunch, giving everyone a chance to enjoy the beauty of Lake Erie before settling into the Chautauqua weekend.

🍷 THEN SLOW DOWN

Friday evening, we'll gather for happy hour and appetizers on the Atheneum porch overlooking Chautauqua Lake, with a cash bar and the option to head out for group dinner afterward.

Saturday brings another highlight: a group dinner catered by the Atheneum, featuring a wide range of menu choices.

And if you're looking for something beyond cycling, the area has plenty to offer — Bemus Point, Panama Rocks, the Lucille Ball Museum, National Comedy Center, Roger Tory Peterson Institute, nature trails, wineries and breweries are all possibilities.

Come for the riding. Stay for the setting. Come back for the memories.

🚴‍♀️🌄 Welcome to the Laurel Highlands Scenic Ride Series! 🌄🚴‍♂️

Don’t let this summer pass you by! We have another stellar 35-mile ride planned this coming Saturday, August 29th, showcasing some of the incredible roads, scenery, climbs, and descents around Ligonier, PA. The weather looks absolutely perfect!

This series is all about great rides, beautiful scenery, good company, and having some fun along the way. We’re a friendly group, and whether you’re here to challenge yourself, enjoy the views, or simply spend a few hours on the bike with good people, you’re welcome to join us!

🚴 This Month’s Ride

We’ll be starting from a location that gives riders some flexibility as we make our way toward Linn Run State Park. After the main 35-mile ride, you are welcome to stay and enjoy the famed Linn Run for an extension of up to 15 more miles.

Want to take it a little easier? You can enjoy the lower portion of the climb into Linn Run, where the grade stays at or below about 3%, before turning back toward the parking area.

Feeling ambitious? Take on the full challenge — approximately 1,500 feet of elevation over 7 miles — and you'll be rewarded with a long, flowing descent back down. 😎

So grab your bike, bring your sense of adventure, and come explore the Laurel Highlands with us!

Ready to ride, explore, and then kick back with the club? Our Moraine Fondo+ has something for everyone, with 4 route options, depending on how you’re feeling.

➕ Choose the GRAN, MEDIO, or BAMBINO route, each with its own ride leader and start time.
➕ Feeling adventurous? Add miles to visit McConnells Mill and/or enjoy the scenic paved trail along Lake Arthur.
➕ Prefer a relaxed trail ride? The PISTA is an out-and-back on a paved trail and is self-guided.

We’re timing the rides so everyone can hopefully roll back in around the same time for the best part: a lunch social and hanging out together! 🌳🥪

🪑 Bring a lawn chair + your picnic lunch and plan to stay awhile after your ride. It’s a great chance to spend some time with your fellow club members off the bike. Restrooms are available if you’d like to make a quick change after riding.

Friday evening we'll gather for dinner at The American Alehouse, featuring live entertainment by the legendary piano player Tommy Wareham. Expect great food, outstanding music, and lots of laughs as we unwind after a day on the bike.

Then on Saturday night, we'll meet at The Field, famous for serving some of the best burgers around, for another relaxed evening with fellow Premier members.
