First year wrestler says our closing prayer 🙏

10/29/2026

When your first year youth wrestler asks to say the prayer, you tend to say "absolutely not". Well, I gave Olivia a chance, and she knocked it out of the park!

Don't ever forget, they are watching and following your lead.

Some people will never see your growth, because they are to committed to remembering your failures.

Pray for them, and work harder!

Parents and Coaches,

You're about to receive some of the best wrestlers Alabama has to offer. When they step foot on that mat, I can promise you they are ready. I didn't do that, they did.

That wasn't my goal this year, though. My goal was to develop them into great leaders. When adversity hits, not only can they get up and fight back, but they can lead and direct others through the storm. To show their love for the sport, to show their love for others, and to Be The Light on and off the mat.

They may show up quiet and reserved. Make no mistake though, they are ready to lead.

High Schoolers, this was by far my favorite offseason yet! Your skills on the mat have grown leaps and bounds. What you do off the mat, though, that's what I'm most proud of. I've watched you interact with the youth, and I've witnessed some of you work with a kid you just beat. I've charged you with tremendous responsibility, and I'm sure at times you hated it. Soon, though, you will understand why.

If I can ask one thing of you guys, just be yourself. Do NOT lower your standards for others. Raise others up so you both can grow. Step out of your comfort zone and Be The Light in the room. I'm super proud of all of you. I love you all, and I can't wait to hear about your season!

Good luck High Schoolers!

A lot of you noticed that you weren't charged this month.

That's because Chase Shaw with Cazadore Construction donated to support you guys!

Huge thank you!!

I had the opportunity to visit the Rebels on Thursday and it was AWESOME!!

Introducing this sport to 100s of kids can seem daunting, but I had a very special guest. The Rebels very first State Champion Drake Wood.

We had a blast! Thank you Reeltown Elementary.

God is Good!
