Brian gets 🟪🟪🟪⬛⬛🟪 !

Brian is certainly one of the most skilled guys in the room. Like I said in the speech, he has an incredible understanding of jiu-jitsu. His ability to connect everything together and transition smoothly from one position or attack to the next is amazing. 🥷

He also has some of the best defense around. His late stage defense is incredible. Always puts himself in bad positions and works his way out of them. He’s very hard to submit snd almost impossible to armbar as you all know. Super skilled, highly technical and very deserving of this belt. 🫡

It was amazing having our old friend Dave stop by to teach a seminar. I’ve known him for probably 11 years now, and he’s been one of the biggest influences in my jiu jitsu journey.

Dave was one of my very first coaches and the person who really instilled a passion for the sport in me. He’s also the one who pushed me to start competing back in the day, and later encouraged me to begin teaching. He went to bat for me to start teaching at my first gym, and then later brought me on board to teach for his gym when he opened Renzo Gracie Warwick.

Honestly, I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. One of the greatest guys of all time, and someone I’ll always be grateful for.
