Upon arriving at school freshman year, a close-knit group of friends sharing a passion for snow sports went in search of the various ski/snowboard opportunities UCLA had to offer. To their surprise UCLA didn't have a ski club - only a ski team. Although the team is well established and offers great boarding and skiing opportunities, its sign-up cost and enrollment in competitions didn't identify w
ith the crew. They were interested in a cheaper, more laid back atmosphere where people could just kick it and hit the slopes. The Board Club @ UCLA is a recreational snowboarding/skiing club that is associated with snowboarding clubs at the other UC campuses, most of which have hundreds of members. The all-UC trips are on a much bigger scale. Organized by all of the UC clubs together, the week long All-Cal trip over Winter Break and President's Day weekend NorCal trip offer multiple days on the mountain, stays in cabins/hotels, raging parties, and the opportunity to meet a variety of people from other UC campuses who share our love for the snow, all at an extremely discounted price. You don't have to ski or snowboard but you can still be a part of this group and go on trips/party with us. We snowboard, ski, skateboard, surf, wakeboard, etc. We like to have a good time.
