As we wrap up our coverage of an unforgettable week in Cooperstown, we wanted to share one more part of the experience: the pins.

Pin trading is a huge Cooperstown tradition, and our 12U Cards came prepared with three of their own: their team pin featuring the Cardinal and every player’s name, a very on-trend Sour Patch Kids-inspired pin, and one with a special meaning to our Westwood community.

The team traded a pin honoring Sgt. Christopher Hrbek, ensuring Chris’s memory traveled far beyond Westwood this week. 🇺🇸❤️

This one was especially meaningful for our Cooperstown crew. Chris was the brother of coaches Jim and Beau Hodges and the uncle of James and RJ, who took the field for the Cards this week.

With every trade, another player or family from somewhere across the country went home with a little piece of Westwood and Chris’s memory with them.

Gone, but never forgotten. 🇺🇸❤️

When we posted earlier about 3 home runs on Day 3, Evan Scotti said, “Hold my Gatorade.” 😂

Because Evan had one more in him. 💣

And this one was BIG.

With the bases loaded, Evan sent one over the fence for a GRAND SLAM and his second Cooperstown home run! 🔥⚾️

This video is as much a must watch as it is a must listen. Because that voice losing it in the background?

That’s his mom. And THAT’S HER BOY. ❤️😭⚾️

Jamie Neblock, James Hodges and Mikey Magnifico each went yard today, adding three more homers to the Cards’ Cooperstown run!

Make that TWO Cooperstown home runs for the Cards! ⚾️🔥

Xavier “X” Alleyne went yard today for his first Cooperstown home run and the 12U crew’s second of the tournament!

And the video of the big hit? Well… baseball moms know the rule: stop filming and THAT’S when they do something big. 🤣

We may have missed the swing, but we’ve got the trip around the bases. Way to go, X! ❤️⚾️
