Ayurveda promotes eating 2-3 solid meals a day. This allows meals to fully digest before another meal is consumed. Eating again before the previous meal or snack has digested leads to digestive ama/toxins.
Eating every 4-5 hours takes your body from using sugar for energy (sugar metabolism) and puts your body on fat metabolism as a source of fuel and energy.
This leads to better weight Managment, more stable moods and better long term regulation of insulin.
