To fight or not fight?
What was the question?
Fighting is an individual decision.
If a coach pushes you to fight, that's a bad coach.
Your desire to fight should be 10000% yours. Do not get bullied by an overpowering coaching staff that are living vicariously through you!
I always tell my students I'll never ask you to fight, I'll never plant that seed. I want YOU to want it before I get involved. At the end of the day, YOU are the one that has to live with the choice to put your body on the line.
For most, Muay Thai is a hobby, a way to get into shape. A way to keep moving, Just learning something new. Most will never step into the ring, and that's OK. Muay Thai is FUN!!!!!
For the few that want to step up to the next level, it's not a joke.
You will hate your Coach. You will hate Muay Thai. You will hurt...A LOT.
You will starve yourself.
You will work past being tired. That's when the fight starts.
You will be ready.
You will have gas in the tank.
You will have the knowledge that we have given you to succeed.
You will lose. It's almost imposible that you won't
You will learn from every loss.
You will decide after every fight if this is the life for you..
You will NOT make any money.
You will NOT sell as many tickets as you think you will to your friends. Now you are a small business if you want to cover your expenses.
I will never charge you for extra training while you are upcoming as an ammy, but when you go pro, I'm now on your payroll.
I'm not trying to talk anyone out of fighting, but I want you to know what you are walking into.
