🏅 What a weekend for our Masters Team!

At Saturday's 2026 Carnegie Lake Regatta in Princeton, NJ, our rowers took on 26 clubs and brought home an incredible 41 medals:

🥇 2 Gold
🥈 19 Silver
🥉 20 Bronze

For Kirsten, fitness isn't about chasing perfection..it's about building consistency that lasts. As a personal trainer, a rowing coach and TPI-certified golf performance specialist, she’s passionate about helping clients move better, feel stronger, and perform at their best; whether that's in the gym, on the water, or on the golf course.

Her advice? "Focus on what you can do consistently, not what you can do perfectly."

When she's not coaching, you'll probably find her baking sourdough, playing golf, or taking a walk with her cat, Ollie.

Bronze on the world stage! 🥉🇺🇸

Congratulations to former SRC rower Justin Schmidt on earning the bronze medal in the men's lightweight single sculls at World Rowing Cup III in Lucerne!

After an incredible battle down the course, Justin unleashed a powerful sprint over the final 500 meters to secure a spot on the podium in 7:05.16.

We're incredibly proud to have been part of your rowing journey. Congratulations, Justin! 👏🚣🇺🇸

Two weeks down, and we're just getting started! 🚣☀️

Our first Summer Rowing sessions were filled with sweeping, sculling, water safety, land training, and plenty of smiles. Watching these young athletes gain confidence and learn new skills has been incredible!

What a weekend in Sarasota. 🌴🚣‍♀️🇺🇸

The 2026 USRowing Youth National Championships brought together the fastest crews in the country, and Saugatuck Rowing Club showed up in a big way.

🏅 3 boats finished in the Top 8 nationally
🏅 7 boats finished in the Top 16 nationally
🏅 Every athlete earned the opportunity to compete on the biggest stage in youth rowing

We could not be more proud of our athletes. Simply qualifying for Youth Nationals is an incredible achievement. Racing multiple times over a demanding weekend against the nation's best requires grit, determination, and commitment and our rowers represented SRC with class, toughness, and heart.

A huge thank you to our parents and families who support these athletes every step of the way. From early mornings and long drives to endless encouragement, your dedication makes these opportunities possible both on and off the water.

And to our coaching staff…thank you. Your countless hours of preparation, athlete development, race planning, and the logistical feat of transporting boats and equipment across multiple states helped make this success possible. More importantly, you continue to develop not only fast rowers, but exceptional young people prepared for future rowing endeavors and opportunities beyond SRC.

Congratulations to all of our athletes, coaches, and families on an incredible national championship regatta.
