Meet our instructors: Maggie Rosow
Instructor

Maggie started sailing when she was eight years old at Pequot Yacht Club. She has experience in Optis, Fevas, 420s, but she primarily sails Lasers and Big Boats. She is a rising freshman at the University of Vermont. Outside of sailing, Maggie enjoys playing music, skiing, and going to concerts. Maggie is so excited for her second summer at Cedar Point!

⛵️ CPYC Junior Sailing Program

The countdown is on! Our young sailors will be back on the water soon, building confidence, learning new skills, making friends, and having a great time out on Long Island Sound.

There are still a few spots available if you’d like to register your child. Whether they’re brand new to sailing or looking to improve their racing skills, CPYC offers a fun, safe, and supportive environment for all levels.

Santiago “Tino” Galán
Director of Junior Sailing

Santiago Galán, a native of Argentina, has over 20 years of professional sailing coaching experience with top sailing programs in South and North America. He has coached top Opti sailors at North American and South American Optimist Championships, as well as with LISOT. He has extensive experience coaching high school C420 teams, and coaches top 29er sailors in Miami during the winter.

Tino has led the CPYC Jr. Sailing Program for the past four years, expanding our offerings to include an 8-week team racing clinic in C420s. With a focus on safety and skills, he leads our team of instructors to deliver fun, memorable classes to youth sailors of all levels.

He spends the winter in Miami coaching youth sailors from around the country. Off the water, Tino loves soccer and spending time with his wife and young son.

We look forward to welcoming Tino back to CPYC in June for another great summer!
