Tally Ho Sportfishing

Owner/Skipper Rob Helbig. 40' USCG Inspected vessel that only does Salmon trips. We carry up to 12 passengers so you always have plenty of room.

The Tally Ho is a 40' Coast Guard Inspected Charter Boat operating out of Westport Charters. We limit our loads to 14 passengers so there is plenty of fishing room to fight your fish. We welcome fisherman of all ages or beginners to seasoned veterans. Our crew will welcome you and make sure you walk off the boat after having a good time. Be sure to request the Tally Ho when you make your reservations.

Dear Fishing Friends,
Due to some unfortunate events and with mixed emotions, we have decided to put the Tally Ho up for sale. Thank you for your patronage over the last several decades. If anyone is interested in buying her or know of someone that is, please contact us. Not only has the Tally Ho been a good charter boat, it would also make a great cruiser on Puget Sound. Thanks again.

Greetings to all our Fishing Friends,
As a brief update for the 2018 fishing season, Rick Schmidt from Deep Sea Charters will be the skipper on the Tally Ho. He will be taking salmon, halibut, bottom fish and combo trips as a six person vessel. We hope to be ready by the middle to end of April for fishing trips. For reservations, please call Deep Sea Charters (after March 1, 2018) at 360-268-9300 and request either Rick or the Tally Ho. Rick has many years of fishing experience out of Westport and I look forward to partnering with him.

Hey Fishing Friends,
Due to recent changes, the Tally Ho will be fishing out of Ocean Sportfishing Charters this season. We will be taking both salmon and bottom fishing trips. Our Captains will be Joe Krebbs and Mike LaChapelle. If you would like to make a reservation, please call 360-268-1000.

Great News! Vern from North Dakota caught a 27 pound 4 ounce King salmon aboard the Tally Ho....a daily derby winner!

The King salmon fishing has picked up over the past few days here in Westport. We have landed a few 20 pounders. For some fishing fun, please call Westport Charters for reservations and ask for the Tally Ho.

The salmon season is underway. Fishing has been slow and the weather hasn't been cooperating. However, the good news is, our Tally Ho fishing friend Luchiano caught a 20 pound king which was the first place derby winner on July 4.
Way to go Luchiano!!!!

To our Fishing Friends,
The Tally Ho had it's final Coast Guard inspection. We are ready to FISH! Salmon fishing starts July 1. Rock fish and ling cod fishing is going on now with limit catches. For salmon or bottom fishing reservations, please call Westport Charters at 360-268-0900 or 800-562-0157.

Greetings from Capt. Rob!
Tally Ho has completed it's annual dry dock maintenance. Coast Guard inspection should be completed by mid May. We are eager to start the 2016 Fishing Season! Don Lang will again be our first mate. The salmon season has yet to be determined. We will keep you posted. For bottom fishing and salmon reservations on the Tally Ho, please call Westport Charters at 360-268-0900.

Greetings from Capt Rob!
The Tally Ho is ready for the 2015 Salmon Fishing season. Predictions for the salmon season look very favorable. Fishing should be great and we are looking forward to hearing the shouts of "FISH ON".

The Chinook only season begins May 30th, 7 days a week. All species opens the middle of June. For reservations on the Tally Ho, please call Westport Charters at 360-268-0900.
