AAA XC State Championships

36th: Heidi Hefner - 22:29 PR
17th: Brody Skinner - 17:32
45th: Owen Debar - 18:44

These were some great races. Heidi started us off with a big PR! She was ranked 51st coming in and finished 36th.

Brody ran to a 17th place finished and 2nd All State team! He ran 3 seconds faster than last year at states but the wet conditions made for a slower course. If it was dry and hard course, I believe the times would have been 30 secs faster!

Owen rounded us out with a Top 50 finish at 45th place. There were 101 runners in the boys race.

It has been a great 2025 season. Training begins tomorrow for the 2026 season!

Region 2 AAA Championships: Oct 25th

This was a different regional race than in previous years. The boys and Heidi ran their hearts out even though a team title was unlikely. Heidi ran a PR to qualify for States again. Brody Skinner and Owen Debar followed suit and both qualified for states individually.

It was a bittersweet ending for the two seniors: Carder Holden and Zane Stewart. They missed their goal of returning to states but ran the whole race together and finished side by side. They will be hard to replace and will be missed next year.

Lincoln Roane ran a solid race and we cannot wait to see what he does next year.

The story of the race was John Bailey and Noah Heater. These two are brand new to XC and have been training hard all season. They battle each race trying to beat the other. This race push them both to huge PRs on a course that they just ran 18 days ago. John Bailey ran a 1:42 PR to edge Heater who had a 38 sec PR.

I’m so proud of this team and cannot wait for next season. But first we got States next Saturday for the three qualifiers.
