David Herlocker Memorial Bachman Valley Half Marathon & 2 Person Relay Half marathon and 2 person relay on scenic, rolling country roads through Maryland farmland. As of 8/29/2017 - online registration is sold out.

The Westminster Road Runners Club hosts this race annually on the last Sunday in September. The event began in 1983 as a training run for the longer distance races in October and November and is a Maryland RRCA Grand Prix Series race. It is a low-key, but well supported race on a beautiful and challenging course through the rolling farmland of Carroll County. It begins and ends at Bachman Valley Farms through the generosity of the Myers family. The race is in memory of Dave Herlocker, a founding and longtime WRRC member. In 2014, a 2 person relay was added to provide an opportunity for more runners to join the event. Race Day registration will only be open to WRRC members who are members by 9/22/2017.
