Max Weiland Racing

Max Weiland Racing Max is a 15 yr old American entering his 6th season of racing. Student St Raphael-next year St Edward HS.

Running the FIA, Champions of the Future and WSK Championships overseas with the Kart Republic Team and when we can SKUSA, USPKS and STARS at home. Max Weiland is a 11-year old racing driver with Magik Kart USA. He is affiliated with Checkered Motorsports, Electronic Merchant Systems, EMS Race Team, Ferrari of San Francisco and B.R.M Chronographes. Max started his career in racing as an 8-year old

winning one of two races he entered that year before a brief retirement. In 2021, as a 10-year old, Max returned to the sport to run what was only his first full season of competition heading into this year. In 2021, he netted several wins and podiums while competing in tough local, regional and national events throughout the year. We are running a full regional and national schedule in 2022. Max has also done a week of training in Italy with the CRG team. Our goal is to keep improving and keep enjoying the racing and the camaraderie with our fellow racers and families and see where that takes us.

A good day of racing today in Valencia, Spain with our Kart Republic Team in the Champions of the future Series. Dry to wet conditions on slick tires in Heat 4 with Fast Lap of the Heat to Max.
Started 23 and finished what should have been P5 except for the fact we were jacked prior to the start from behind into the kart in front resulting in a bumper penalty knocking us down to P11. In Heat 5 went from 23 to 30 at the start and then raced up to P15. More racing tomorrow. Go Max!

We arrived last night without our bags which are still in Lisbon (thanks TAP Air Portugal). Today we had a good day of practice in our first time seeing this track. Tomorrow we go racing. Go Max!

Ran 3 stints with no issues (so far) from the wrist. If we can get clearance from the Doctor tomorrow we are off Monday night to Valencia, Spain and on track Wednesday for the COTF and then the FIA event the following weekend. Thanks so much to Roby, Andrew and Magik Kart USA for today. Awesome to be back together.

We’re wishing Max Weiland a speedy recovery after a scary wreck last weekend at the FIA OK European Championship in Italy.

Here is Max's big crash from yesterday. Thank you to the Team, the corner workers at the Circuit, the medical personnel and the hospital for taking such good care of him and we are grateful it wasn't worse than a broken wrist. Max was doing very well in his first FIA event with a P14 of 87 in Qualifying and top 10's in our 3 Heat Races (until this one) including a P4 with us right there in the mix. Max is obviously very disappointed but he is ok and will be back at it as soon as we heal.

P5 in our Qualifying group of 29 and P14 of 87 overall here in our first FIA event. Now the Heat Races begin. Go Max!

Good morning from Sicily! Max and Mom are on The Godfather sightseeing tour today. 😁 We flashed some serious speed in our Kart Republic OK machine at the Champions of the Future event last week though a difficult Qualifying in the 90 kart field definitely hindered our results. This week it is our first FIA Karting Championship event at the Kartodromo La Conca and we can't wait to get at it

We are competing this weekend in the WSK Promotion Super Master Series in Viterbo which is about 90 minutes north of Rome. Two days of Practice complete with Qualifying this morning and Heat 1 this afternoon. Kart is fast and the Kart Republic Team is on point as always. So far so good. Go Max!
