December 22, 2025 our Papa B went to be with Jesus. We want to thank everyone for the prayers and support we have received the last 13 months. It means more than you know. Please comment below with pictures or memories you have of Bear. As soon as arrangements are made we will let everyone know. Again thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the prayers and support. Merry Christmas Eve!!
Update on Bear: last week Bear had his first radiation and had a few complications, so they postponed the second two to this week. He had an MRI done Sunday evening and got the results back Monday morning. EVERY tumor has SHRUNK!!! Praise GOD!! He had his second radiation yesterday and everything went smoothly and was back home Monday evening! He will go back Thursday for another MRI and the last radiation Friday. Praying we get some good news Thursday and Friday goes just like yesterday! He has been staying with us and enjoying his grands, family, and friends. Thank you all in advance for your prayers and support! Keep them coming! Merry Christmas!!

Update on Bear: last Monday Bear finished his last dose of steroids Monday morning. By Monday night he was in extreme pain and vomiting. By Tuesday morning he was at the ER at MD (he was already in Houston for radiation). They admitted him that day and canceled all radiation for the week. By Wednesday after scans and blood work they decided to stop the immunotherapy due to him not being able to get off the steroids. The immunotherapy and the steroids work against each other. They will also do a lung biopsy tomorrow to see if he is positive for a specific mutation of his cancer so they can find a new treatment. They decided to keep him through the weekend and he will start his radiation Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. He will hopefully be home by Friday. Please continue to pray for Bear and our family. Update on Bear: He received a second round of immunotherapy on Monday. His team of doctors made the decision to do three rounds of radiation. He will go to MD on December 10th for blood work and an MRI. Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will be the days he receives the radiation. His head is healing from the surgery very well and he is back to getting around without the walker! They have started to taper him off the steroids, so we are hoping this goes well and does not cause the same issues as a couple of weeks ago with swelling and pain. Thank you for your continued prayers and support!!

Update on Bear: starting Tuesday Bear started experiencing severe pain and as the week went on it got worse. He lost his appetite, couldn’t drink fluids, and became extremely weak. He called Ben yesterday around noon and said he wanted to go to the ER, so we took him to cal cam. They started an IV with fluids and pain meds, and took him for a CT. Because he stopped taking steroids on Monday the swelling in the brain increased which increased the pain. The doctor at cal cam spoke to the surgeon at MD and decided to put him back on the steroids. He was released around 6:30 and is at home resting and feeling much better! We will go to MD Monday for his post op appointment with his neurosurgeon. Thanks again for all the support and prayers! Keep them coming!

Update on Bear: He is home and recovering! His post op appointment is November 25th and next treatment is December 2nd. Thank you to everyone who has prayed for him and our family. We are so grateful for our amazing support system! Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery and that his next treatment goes smoothly. Again thanks in advance for all the prayers, texts, and calls! We feel them! ❤️
