SWLA Esports SWLA Esports, created by teachers for teachers. We are a group of educators in SW Louisiana that organize scholastic Esports for our area high schools.

Our mission is provide a quality education-based programs so that our students can excel socially and academically. We support these programs using resources from the Network of Academic and Scholastic Esports Federation, NASEF. You can review this organization at www.nasef.org. It’s time for NASEF Farmcraft Build Challenge #1: The “What” and “Why” of Crops! Join the global outreach and educational program that uses the popular game Minecraft to enhance understanding of global agricultural challenges. This program is perfect to integrate into class curriculum or afterschool programs for students age 8-18.

Schools from across SW Louisiana competed in our SWLA Esports Spring Championships on Saturday, May 3rd. High Schools from Grand Lake, Westlake, Barbe, Oberlin, Sulphur, Barbe, and Starks competed in SMASH Bros, Overwatch 2, and Valorant. Middle Schools from Maplewood and WW Lewis competed in SMASH Bros. We had an overwhelming turnout of students, coaches and parents come out and support their schools and programs. Thank you for all those that have supported our league, schools and programs.

Sulphur High Esports and Barbe High Esports competed in our SMASH Bros. Championship Tournament this weekend. Sulphur High won the tournament to become our 2025 SWLA Esports Spring Champions. Barbe High was runner-up in our tournament. Congratulations to all competitors and schools.
