WHEN SHOULD I REPLACE MY HELMET

Your helmet might still look good… but the tech inside could be aging out

Most cycling helmet manufacturers recommend replacement every 3–5 years depending on ride frequency, heat exposure, sweat, UV, and storage conditions. EPS foam and retention systems slowly break down over time — especially for riders putting in real miles.

And remember: one solid impact = new helmet time. Even if there’s zero visible damage, the foam can compress internally and lose its ability to manage impact energy properly.
