The 50th Anniversary of the Tower Trot is May 29, 2027!

Before we hit the starting line, the Recreation Department is looking for community input to help shape this milestone race.
Join us for a Tower Trot talk-through where we will spring through ideas, jog down memory lane, and pace out plans for the big 5-0!

The next community meeting Thursday, September 10, at 3:30 pm, at the Recreation Center at 1500 Walker Street.

Don't forget, our first Tower Trot Community Meeting is tomorrow, August 27, at 5:30 pm in the Recreation Center located at 1500 Walker Street, Western Springs, IL. Come talk all things Tower Trot as we prepare for the 50th run!

We had so much fun yesterday at The French Market! Thank you to all who joined us.

See you next Wednesday, for the final market of the season, on August 26, from 4-7 pm.

Kids can enjoy story time with Thomas Ford Memorial Library at 5 pm and there will also be a balloon artist on site from 4:30 - 6:45 pm. See you there!

BLAZERS & WILDCATS TRAVEL BASKETBALL TRYOUTS ARE NEXT WEEK!
Please view the flyers below for each grade's tryout time and date.

Please note the important information below:
Tryouts are mandatory.
Registration and payment must be completed before participating.
Parents are not permitted inside tryouts.

Check-in process:
Players should:
Walk up independently
State their first and last name
Receive their tryout number
Parents are welcome to assist with pinning the tryout number onto their child’s shirt before leaving.

What Players Will Do:
Ball Handling
Passing
Finishing
Shooting
Competitive drills
3-on-3
4-on-4
Live play
Occasionally 1-on-1 evaluations

Tryouts are directed by the professional skills trainers from Spartz Sportz, with support from Blazers and Wildcats coaches when needed.
