Subject: Learn to Dive Summer Schedule Update

Hello Learn to Dive Families,

I wanted to share a quick update regarding our summer schedule. Unfortunately, due to swim meets throughout June and July, along with the Aquatic Center’s scheduled maintenance closure beginning in August, our summer diving opportunities have been significantly reduced this year.

As a result, we will only have one official Learn to Dive summer clinic.
July 5th. (the day before Coach Perfetti’s birthday)
Perhaps after this practice we can do something in the park for about an hour or two?

While this is certainly disappointing, we’ll make the most of the opportunity we have and look forward to seeing everyone there. I’ll also continue exploring other possible activities or get-togethers during the summer and will keep everyone informed.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to summer!

I’m excited to share our Learn to Dive Summer 2026 schedule with you! We’ll have a few clinic dates at the Nassau Aquatics Center:

July 5
9:00–10:00 AM – Platform Diving
10:00–11:00 AM – 1-Meter Boards
11:00 AM–12:00 PM – Platform Diving

August 2
9:00–10:00 AM – Platform Diving
10:00–11:00 AM – 1-Meter Boards
11:00 AM–12:00 PM – Platform Diving

August 9
9:00–10:00 AM – Platform Diving
10:00–11:00 AM – 1-Meter Boards
11:00 AM–12:00 PM – Platform Diving

August 16
9:00–10:00 AM – Platform Diving
10:00–11:00 AM – 1-Meter Boards
11:00 AM–12:00 PM – Platform Diving

We’re offering a flexible pay-as-you-go format this summer:
• $50 one-time registration fee
• $50 cash per clinic (paid on the pool deck)

Additionally, on a couple of Sundays when we don’t have practice, we’re hoping to coordinate some fun! We’re exploring a day at Echo Park Pool in North Hempstead, and also a possible group trip to iFLY Trapeze! These would be fun, casual opportunities to bond outside the usual pool setting. I’ll share details once we confirm interest.

Love seeing these girls still competing at the highest level. Former athletes Jackie and Kate came back to visit us on the pool deck.

What tremendous résumés these two have built. I had the privilege of witnessing their swimming careers while I was an assistant swim coach and varsity diving coach at Ward Melville High School. Proud of them then, proud of them now.
