It’s been a while since our last post...but sitting at a college showcase event really had me racking my brain on some things.
———
1. The lack of preparation from an offense standpoint is astonishing. Fail to prepare and prepare to fail. Hitters these days in the early stages of development are lacking simple feel and confidence at the plate. They are unaware of their bodies in space. Not sure of what to do how to feel, etc.

2. Maximizing the swing from a physical standpoint must be a lost art. Take a look at any D1 player in the or and you will find controlled, calculated, and violent swings that are looking to drive a ball into a gap or over an outfielders head. They are always looking to do damage to the ball. No one pays for ground balls or weak singles. Striking out is ok at this stage as long as it is intent driven.
