University of Toronto Taekwondo Organization (UTTO) The Taekwondo organizaton at U of T St. George Campus Although UTTO focuses on practicing WTF Olympic style, all other styles of taekwondo are welcome!

The University of Toronto Taekwondo Organization (UTTO) provides a fun and dynamic atmosphere for U of T Taekwondoists of all levels to learn and practice Taekwondo. Whether you are looking for a new sport to learn, a way to keep in shape, or just want to try something new, UTTO is the club for you! UTTO offers instructional beginner, intermediate classes, advanced, and black belt classes at Hart House during the academic year. UTTO also goes beyond Taekwondo, offering many social events throughout the year, including beach day, pub nights, karaoke nights, and an annual trip to Hart House Farm. UTTO is also home to the U of T Taekwondo Team, where WTF Olympic style is practiced. This competitive team was the 2009 & 2011 Ontario Universities Taekwondo Competitive League (OUTCL) Champions and competed in their first international tournament in Buffalo, NY in November 2009.

Here’s the updated schedule for advanced and competitive classes at the SMC Wellness Studio! Same dates and times, only classes will be continuing past April throughout the summer until August! Once again, all sessions will be free, but due to space considerations please email us at [email protected] if you wish to attend any of these sessions.

Advanced classes are for those who already have a strong understanding of the basics, are looking for a challenge and to learn more advanced taekwondo techniques. These will continue to be held on SUNDAYS 3-5PM.

Competitive classes are for students interested in competing, and will challenge you to work on your cardio, sparring IQ, and patterns. These will continue to be held FRIDAYS from 4-6PM.

Open mat and special classes will still be hosted WEDNESDAYS from 5-7PM. These will have no special instructions and will usually be a chance for you to work on the elements of taekwondo you wish to improve on.

Thanks to everyone who’s been showing up, and we look forward to learning with you all this summer! 👊🥋
