A few pick-ups from my latest grocery run. I’ve been struggling with my nutrition lately not with eating whole foods, but with the snacking 🙈. Still constantly learning, and learning through my own wins and mistakes before I teach anyone else.

This week I realized that nutrition is a constant decision loop, an ongoing series of choices that can be harder to stay focused on compared to a workout. Once I’m in the zone training, I’m locked in. But food? Definitely an aha moment. I’m working on making better choices throughout the day that align with my goals. Easier said than done, but we’re working on it. Coming up with ideas, strategies… I’ll share what works .. but food is a struggle and hardest part of the fitness journey.

Stay hungry on the goals 💪🏾😤

How do you fully feel but still stay in a great mood?

I’ve been feeling a bit moody these past few weeks. From personal stuff to the despair, I see and feel in JA, across the Caribbean, the U.S., the list can actually go on—times feel strange. Some days I’ve been letting my emotions ride and question some of my actions lately.

But I’m reminding myself to move, literallyyyy because movement really helps me balance the good and the bad. And I’m also reminding myself that joy is still out there… it’s just about focusing on the good and doing and being more of it.

Keep moving 🫶🏾☺️💪🏾💜

The What, Why, and How: Wall T-Spine Rotation

What: A mobility drill that targets your thoracic spine (upper back).
Why: Helps improve rotation, posture, and overall movement quality — especially great if you sit a lot or lift heavy.

How: Stand side-on to a wall with knees slightly bent and arms extended. Rotate your top arm open, follow it with your eyes, and keep your hips still. Repeat on both sides.

There’s something powerful about movement — I believe it literally has healing.
When I’m sad, I move.
When I’m happy, I move.
When I’m sick (within reason), I stretch or move.

I’ve learned I always have to keep moving. The deeper truth to me is that being stagnant, internally or externally often does more harm than good. Moving, whether it’s an inch or a mile, is progress, is effort, the body and mind know we still in this fight and to me it also carries the intention of moving forward.

2025 ain’t don’t yet, staying moving 💪🏾🙏🏾

Grit and grind — if I don’t show up for anyone else, in this era I’m in, I will always choosing to show up for me.

I owe myself that.

Reflecting on my time in ATL with family 💛

This trip was all about rest and recharge — I didn’t do all the usual tourist stuff, and honestly, I was perfectly fine with that. Sometimes you just need to slow down.

In my last post, I mentioned Five Types of Love Bloom … the author talks about how being close to family can really lift your mood and boost happiness, and I felt that deeply. Can’t wait to go back for more slow days.

Also, I’ve never seen Niko so focused 😅 we have another athlete in the making 👀⚾️😈

❌Don’t wait until the doctor tells you.
❌Don’t wait until you hit your lowest point.
❌Don’t wait for the perfect time.
❌Don’t skip the gym because your friend didn’t show up.
❌Don’t hold back because no one’s pushing you.
❌Don’t wait — because there will always be another excuse.

Just show up, no matter how big or small the effort.

Start small, stay consistent, and let those efforts compound over time.
