You are such a genuine and caring person, and the way you always support and encourage everyone around you means so much to all of us.

Your positivity, kindness, and energy make a huge difference in our dojang every day. So many students look up to you not only as an instructor, but also as a person. The way you care for people and always cheer others on is something really special.

Thank you for always giving your best and for being such an important part of the Black Eagle family. We’re truly grateful for everything you do.

We want to share something really special coming to DSM! 🇰🇷

Master Brandon’s mom, Mama Son, recently started a small kimchi business called MamaSon Kimchi(), and we’re excited to share it with our community.

She spent her whole life running a restaurant and cooking, and now she’s making kimchi the same way, in small batches, using traditional Korean recipes and decades of experience.

It’s not mass-produced, and you can really taste the difference. Just clean, authentic kimchi made with care.

They’ll be offering local delivery around Des Moines and nearby areas, with orders opening in early May.

With grateful hearts, we are happy to share that our baby boy was born on April 24th, 2026.

Mom and baby are both healthy, and we feel truly blessed and thankful for all the love, prayers, and support from our Black Eagle family and friends.

Last weekend, 19 athletes proudly represented Black Eagle at the AAU Minnesota Championship.

We achieved outstanding results and received tremendous support and recognition throughout the day. But more importantly, what stood out the most was not the medals. It was the strength of our team, the way everyone supported one another, and the unity we showed from start to finish.

Athletes, coaches, and families came together as one team and created something truly special.
That kind of teamwork and spirit is what makes us proud to represent our school wherever we go.

Thank you to every athlete who gave their best effort, all the coaches who guided and prepared the team, and every family member who stood behind them with encouragement and support. We are truly grateful. 🙏

Next stop: Kansas. Let’s keep working hard!

We are excited to announce that Master Seyoung Kim, a former captain of the Kyung Hee University Poomsae Team and athlete for the Pocheon City Hall Team, is joining Black Eagle. Join us in giving her a warm welcome!

Master Seyoung has earned numerous national competition awards and brings extensive coaching experience, and her guidance will help our students perform at their best and achieve outstanding results this season.

She will be with us from April through June, providing expert coaching and valuable growth opportunities for our team.

We are excited to welcome Master Seyoung to Black Eagle!

Yesterday, eight students participated in a black belt test that lasted four and a half hours, demonstrating everything they have been preparing for through years of training and dedication. After a long period of anticipation, they faced the test with sincerity, determination, and the courage to give their best in every moment.

Throughout the test there were mistakes and difficult moments, but those moments are also part of the journey. By relying on the effort they have built over time and by supporting one another, they persevered and completed the test with strength and spirit.

A black belt test is not simply about skill. It is a moment where students confront their limits, overcome them, and discover a stronger version of themselves. It becomes a meaningful milestone not only in their Taekwondo journey, but also in their lives.

At Black Eagle, a black belt represents far more than technique. It represents maturity, responsibility, character, and the spirit of a true martial artist.

Today marks the beginning of their next chapter. As they continue to grow as Taekwondo practitioners and individuals, we ask for your continued encouragement and support.

We are truly proud of each and every one of them.

We are so excited for Ms. Yein and Master Brandon as they prepare to welcome their baby very soon! This is such a special season for their family, and we know our entire Black Eagle community shares in that joy.
