The Saint Mary's Nordic Ski Club's mission is to create a network of cross-country skiers that strive to share the passion of our sport both on campus as well as throughout the Winona community. We hope to draw high school skiers to Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Skiers will be provided with the opportunity to both improve their skills and learn to ski in a team atmosphere. The members will

compete in public ski races in the area and out of state. The club is open to all undergraduate students at Saint Mary's University who have an interest in Nordic (cross-country) skiing.

We did it! After 4+ years we finally made it back to West Yellowstone, Montana and had the opportunity to get some fall skiing in during our Thanksgiving break. We had a great time on and off the trails and everyone improved so much! We’re ready to get some snow on campus!

Thank you to everyone who came out and skied the SMU 5k/10k race on Saturday! It was a nice day with lots of smiles and some good skiing, thanks to the wonderful work that the groomers did. The race results are uploaded on Skinny Ski under the tab race and results. Here are some pictures that were taken throughout the day. Thanks to those who were able to capture these!

Reminder Saint Mary's University Nordic Ski Club is hosting their annual XC ski race on Saturday, February 19, 2022. The 5k & 10k races are still on!! The trail conditions will somewhat icy and some debris, but it should be a fun time no matter what!

All levels and ages are welcome to race on the beautiful trails within the bluffs surrounding campus. We are offering a 5k and 10k classic race at 11 a.m., 1k kids race at 12 p.m. and a 5k and 10k skate race at 1.p.m.

You can register at https://smumn.universitytickets.com/ or in person on race day in Saint Yon's Valley (the bowl by lower parking lot) from 10-10:50 a.m. We hope to see you there!
