Last month we talked about peer pressure. A lot of times we think of peer pressure as a negative thing, but it can also be a positive thing! Today our junior varsity demo team was a great example of using positive peer pressure to bring out the best in each other. They worked hard, encouraged their teammates, and held each other accountable. We’re excited to see the results of their hard work at belt graduation in just a couple weeks!

This past week we did some fun kicking challenges in class. These drills are great for developing balance and body control. But they're even better for showing students that it's okay to fail the first time and that making multiple attempts is often the key to success. Being able to recover from setbacks and challenges is one of the most important predictor of life-long success and it isn't developed overnight - it comes from tackling one challenge after another.
