Doddridge County Takes Battle of Route 50, 33–12

The Doddridge County Bulldogs picked up their first win of the season Friday night, defeating the Ritchie County Rebels 33–12 in the Battle of Route 50 at Chuck Schofield Memorial Stadium.

Doddridge controlled the game on the ground, rushing for 370 yards on 44 carries. Brandon Davis led the Bulldogs with a huge performance, rushing for 164 yards and four touchdowns on just 11 carries. Corbin Hall added 101 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.

The Doddridge defense also kept Ritchie’s offense in check, holding the Rebels to 94 rushing yards.

After falling to Roane County in Week 1, the Bulldogs responded with a convincing rivalry victory to move to 1–1 on the season.
