Not every season ends the way you want it to, and today’s 4-3 loss was a tough one. The 10U girls battled until the very last out, leaving everything they had on the field.

What a season they gave us. In their first year of Little League play, they finished an incredible 12-2 and proved week after week that they belonged. They played with heart, energy, and a love for the game that was impossible not to notice.

This team was so much fun to watch- not just because of the wins, but because of the way they laughed, learned, supported one another, and grew together all season long. Every girl should be proud of what she accomplished.

The future of West Side Softball is in very good hands with these girls. 💙🥎

✨Sometimes the scoreboard doesn’t tell the whole story. ✨

From the first winter practice to the final at-bat yesterday, our 14U team grew tremendously- not just in skill, but in confidence, resilience, and trust in one another. Every girl got better. Every girl grew.

Winning is fun- let’s be honest, it’s the goal every time you step onto the field. But there is also value in the tough seasons. Losses teach resilience. They teach perseverance. They teach you how to keep working when things aren’t easy and how to keep showing up for your teammates, even when the outcome isn’t what you hoped for.

This was one of the youngest teams in the league, and with 16 players, the largest roster as well. Some of these girls had never faced live pitching, run on a dropped third strike, or stolen a base before this season. By joining the Little League organization, West Side has been able to provide opportunities these players *deserved* but hadn’t previously had access to- and they made the most of them.

Keep working this offseason, ladies. 💪🏼 Keep believing in yourselves. We're excited to see where your hard work takes you next. 💙🥎💙

The 10U team is absolutely ON FIRE right now 🔥🥎

These girls are playing incredible softball, cheering louder than anyone, bringing nonstop energy, and somehow still finding time to fully embrace their newest identity… The Seals 😂🦭 (see comments below ⬇️⬇️⬇️)
(We’re still not totally sure how we got here, but at this point we just accept the random seal noises from the dugout as part of the intimidation strategy.)

This team is something special - talented, hardworking, hilarious, supportive, and playing with SO much heart. They’re the kind of group that makes you stop and watch because you can just tell… THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT 😎

WSMS 5:45 tonight, looking to stay on top of the division 💪🏼💙🖤

🏆🏆Champions! West Side Lady Wildcats 5/6 Win League Title in Thrilling Finale🏆🏆

The Wildcats capped off an unforgettable season with a thrilling 8–6 victory over Granby Vincelette on Sunday to claim the league championship.

Granby came out swinging, grabbing an early lead in the top of the first. But true to form, the Wildcats responded right away. Three clutch singles in the bottom of the inning—including a game-tying hit by Izzy A.—evened the score at 3-3.

In the second, Aubrey C. knocked in a go-ahead run to give West Side the lead, but Granby answered again in the third, tying things up. The back-and-forth battle continued, but the Wildcats weren’t done yet. A hit-by-pitch to Madison D. and a bases-loaded walk drawn by Aubrey C. pushed two more runs across in the bottom of the third, swinging the momentum back to West Side.

From there, the girls held strong. Pitcher Joey X. showed grit and composure, going the distance on the mound—tossing six full innings, striking out four, and navigating tough jams to secure the win.

The Wildcats’ offense was relentless, racking up 14 hits on the day. Alexis P., Mae S., and Joey X. each tallied two hits, while Mae and Aubrey led the team with two RBIs apiece.

This hard-earned championship was the perfect ending to a remarkable season filled with growth, heart, and hustle. From the first game to the final out, these girls played with determination, supported one another, and truly embodied the spirit of a team.

They picked each other up, cheered each other on, and never backed down—proving that West Side is home to a truly special group of young athletes.

Congratulations to the 5/6 West Side Lady Wildcats—your 2025 Quabbin League champions! 🏆💙🥎😸
